what I would like to change: Etty Hillesum says a lot: "Ultimately, we have just one moral duty: to reclaim large areas of peace in ourselves, more and more peace, and to reflect it towards others. And the more peace there is in us, the more peace there will be in our troubled world." 
I strongly believe in ripple effects; how positivity (or fear) can be contagious and can travel and transcend. Ripple effects of peaceful responses in oneself and towards others can start in different places. I personally like to accelerate exploring new ways of working and living together. Places where we people come and work or play together, like the workplace at the sports field. This is where we can and need to continue pushing standards and 'new normals'  and breakthrough unwritten rules, to create different breeding grounds of peaceful systems. Seeing is believing, so the more positive and tangible examples created, the more ripple effects to transcend. ​

what I would like to change: I want to change the way many people compartmentalize their professional lives from their social and spiritual lives. This allows people to be e.g. caring parents making profit only decisions in their professional lives with disregard for the environmental and societal costs of their decisions. We can no longer afford this limited mindset. To change we need to stop separating our social and spiritual lives from our professional lives. At the same time we need to start paying more attention to our inner world so we can take radical responsibility for how we show up in the world and can aim to avoid projecting our own personal pain into the world.

I believe that our current systems aren’t serving us anymore (only the ‘happy’ few). So I believe we need need a lot of structural change.

I also believe that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice anywhere. And that nobody is free until everyone is free. I believe that we are all connected. Humans, animals and nature and that we can feel each other’s pain, even if we aren’t aware of it anymore.
